Piknik im Bush "Preserving a Language"

In 1995, one year following the formation of the Pommerscher Verein Central Wisconsin, we planned to have our second Piknik im Bush.  We made contact with Joachim Peters, Oldenburg-Holstein, in Germany, whom we had met at the Freidsadt Pommertag the year prior. In subsequent discussions, he indicated he was planning to bring a group from Germany to visit Wisconsin and other places including the Pommerscher Verein in the Wausau area.  We settled on June 24, 1995 for our 2nd picnic with the same location, the Krenz Park on Highway A northwest of Wausau.  Follow the link below to view a video of that event.
