Welcome!
Welcome to the website of the Pommerscher Verein Central Wisconsin Corporation (PVCWC), which translates to The Pomeranian Society of Central Wisconsin Inc.
Thousands of Americans have ancestors from the German province of Pomerania, or Pommern. Pomeranians may be Wisconsin’s largest ethnic German group.
The Verein (society) was chartered in 1994, to learn, study, research, share and enjoy Pomerania’s language, customs, food, history, genealogy & music. Our website highlights current and past Verein activities and accomplishments.
Please also consider joining us! The Verein has meetings and events throughout the year to which you are always welcome, and many residents who live outside central Wisconsin are Verein members in order to receive our quarterly newsletter, Dat Pommersche Blatt.
